Dr. Jim Williams grew up in Hansford, West Virginia. He made his decision to trust in Christ at 7 years old. At the age of 17, the Lord burdened his heart to engage in full-time ministry. It wasn't until the age of 27 that he accepted that call and left West Virginia to attend Maranatha Baptist Bible College where he completed a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling. He has since completed a Masters of Divinity (M-Div.) and Doctorate of Ministry (D-Min.) from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary; his doctoral thesis focused on marital communication. His favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Dr. Williams enjoys hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Erin, have 2 young boys that keep them busy. Family hobbies include building Legos, playing games, and fishing.
